25 Amazing Masks from Venice
Jan 20th, 2008 by admin

The Venice Carnival is the most internationally known festival celebrated in Venice, Italy, as well as being one of the oldest. This congregation of masked people, called Venice Carnival, began in the 15th century, but the tradition can be traced back to the beginning of the 14th Century. The days of the Carnival of Venice are magical (January 25th – February 5th, 2008 ) .

Masked parties held all over the city and in buildings and if you do not have a mask, don’t worry: the mask shops propose the novelties of 2008, the result of Venetian creativity and tradition in papier-maché masks. In the various Venetian costumeshops you have but to choose from dozens of rental costumes to find the most original one to parade around St. Mark’s Square or have fun in the many typical costume parties held in the homes and buildings all over Venice.

I find clowns pretty disturbing when I see them in pictures, or in movies, or wherever. Yet these guys looked simply fabulous. Thank you for the beautiful pictures!
Hi,
This is actually a private request. I am planning a Purim party at our Synagogue and these photos (Amazing Venice Carnival Masks) are gorgeous. I would like to print them and make them into posters or transfer them onto billowy cloths for wallhangings to decorate the social hall. Would it be possible to send me the original jpeg files of some of the photos, so that they are printable quality? I really appreciate you considering this.
Thank you,
Davida B.

A great Collection
As I’ve traveled throughout the world and such
Now being in old age, I don’t remember much
Along the way, a few kind and mysterious faces
The rest has turned into shadows and dust!
To whom it may concern,
My name is Carole Jordan and I am the graphic designer for a small community college located in Longview, Washington. I have been asked to create a poster (11″x 17″) to hang around on our campus promoting a new humanities class we are offering. I would like to be able to use 3 or 4 of the images shown here, therefore, I am requesting permission to use the photos and wondered if there was any way that I might get them in a high res jpeg format?
I am specifically interested in #1-Gold Ruffle, #3 Lavender figures, #8- Rust feather plumes, and #16- Blue and gold figures. I would need to know by the week of February 2nd.
Thank you for any consideration and help that you may be able to offer.
Sincerely,
Carole Jordan
