Canada – More than Just the Second Largest Country…

Canada – The second largest country in the world is one of the most beautiful countries in North America. However, the population of Canada is not more than that of California in the US; and this despite the fact that it is much easier to become the citizen of Canada as compared to the US.
Canada is also quite popular among students and houses several educational institutions. In fact, a huge part of the Canadian population consists of students. Population, why discuss the population of Canada when it is so small? Well, it is the population of any place that makes the place significant. Thus, discuss the population of the country – the beautiful country!
The population of Canada is a diverse one. In fact, there are more immigrants than the people of Canadian origin. Well, this is both a good thing and a bad thing! Good because these very immigrants make Canada such a lively and “rocking” place. Bad because, somewhere down the line, the people of Canadian origin find it difficult to identify with a particular self image.
There are several small towns in the country. All of these towns are full of people from varied cultures; and it is in fact these individuals from different cultures that make for the cultural hotchpotch or rather hotspot that Canada is. Nevertheless, the sense of Canadian pride is immense in all, who live here. And one of the interesting facts about the people of Canada it is not common for people to be addressed with their surnames. In fact, unless one knows a person well enough, one would not really know his surname.
Well despite this, the sense of appreciation and pride that Canadians seem to have towards not only their country but also each aspect of the country. Be it the maple syrup or the Calgary stampede. They are proud of it all. One of the most interesting facts about the people of Canada is they would celebrate Australia day in a manner more elaborate than in Australia itself; in fact this is how it is with most festivals that are celebrated by the culturally diverse population.
Anyways, coming back to the landscape of the second largest country in the world; the country has an archetypal landscape that is covered with vast and dense forests. Besides, the Rocky Mountain Range is not only one of the popular but also the most significant feature of the country.
The landscape of Canada makes for one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Besides, there are quite a few cities in Canada that attract tourists from all over the world. These include cities like Montreal and Toronto. Besides, the Canadian capital Ottawa also attracts several tourists. Besides, the Eskimo settlements in and around the frozen shores of the Hudson Bay is also one of the most visited places in the world.
Planning to vacation in Canada already! Well, there is more to this country that has one of the smallest populations in the world. The Atlantic and pacific oceans that lie on two opposite ends of the country provide for a spectacular fishing and water sport areas. Besides, there are thousands of rivers, lakes and other water bodies in Canada that also provide for much needed amusement and leisure.
The Niagara Falls that lie at the border of Canada and the US is the most popular tourist attraction in Canada. The Niagara Falls is in fact one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. Besides, they are also popular pictures for post cards. The Niagara Falls are in fact one of the best ways in which nature tells the world that borders do not really matter. The water that is splashed from the falls on to the enormous number of people does not really discriminate between the citizens of the two countries. Besides, nor does is discriminate between different cultures that people come from.
Well well well, that might sound a little heavy, but the fact is that nature has its own way to deal with the disruptions that we tend to cause to the world. Ever thought why Canada is so beautiful! Perhaps it is because of the fact that the population of Canada is low. Then again, it is the population that makes the place beautiful isn’t it! Then perhaps it is because of the fact that the Canadians love and respect their country so much that they do not really disrupt the way of nature in their world.
Coming back to the Rockies, they are in fact the most beautiful part of the Canadian landscape. The mountains are a great trekking hotspot and are covered with snow almost through out the year. The snow capped mountains provide for a rather arrogant site in the afternoons, when the snow glistens with pride. The coniferous trees and the pathways that allow us to pass through the Rockies add a touch of humility and élan to the whole site.
Nature does have its way when it comes to the Rockies. Not everybody can conquer the Rockies and reach its highest peak. Besides, there are several national parks in the country. These parks are home to wildlife like the Grizzly bear and the bighorn sheep, which is common to the mountains.
In the Rocky Mountains, each day is full of adventure. Especially when you do not really know what nature has in mind; you would have to design newer techniques and figure out newer ways to deal with any obstruction or problem that you might have to face. Obviously, things are much simpler and safer today, however, we cannot really imagine the way in which our ancestors dealt with the difficulties that nature put forth; and even if we imagine the same, one cannot really tell if one would be able to deal with those situations without the hi – tech luxuries that most of us cannot live without. Perhaps, the adventure of life would be more beautiful then! Perhaps not!
