Blackbirds hitching a ride on Hawk’s back
Jun 18th, 2008 by admin

Red-Winged Blackbird is hitching a ride on the back of a Red-Tailed Hawk, this photo clearly shows that the Red-Winged Blackbird has folded in his wings and is perched on the back of the Red-Tailed Hawk, actually they do not land for more than a couple of seconds

If one Red-Winged Blackbird isn’t enough, how about two?

This photograph doesn’t clearly show the male on the back, but it does at least show how close the Red-Wing Blackbirds get to the hawk.

reflections? .. you mean the ones off the feathers? or the Sky” duhh
peace… i saw this scenario once in montana about eight years ago… a distressed blackbird actually folding its wings and sitting on the hawk’s back for a second or two before taking off and resuming dive-bombing… i don’t know if this is a real photo or not, but it’s absolutely a realistic encounter.
Of course it’s real, don’t humor them with realistic responses. “Fake” is the new way to troll.
anonymous is right - i can tell from some pixels and from having seen quite a few shops in my time.
Anon! Keep it in /B/!

Thank you for posting these photos. I had been looking for them. They are wonderful. Do you have any other photos. I am not sure that these are the ones that someone sent me on line. I was also looking for a red winged black bird on an eagle’s back. Is that possible? Has anyone seen that? Let me know. SB
