Aamir Khan Reveals Details About Upcoming Film 'Sitaare Zameen Par'

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been sharing insights about his upcoming film "Sitaare Zameen Par," a spiritual successor to his acclaimed 2007 film "Taare Zameen Par." The film, directed by R.S. Prasanna and co-starring Genelia Deshmukh, is scheduled for release on June 20, 2025.

During recent promotional events, Khan addressed speculation about his career trajectory, firmly rejecting the "comeback" narrative surrounding the film. "I haven't gone anywhere and haven't had multiple flops," Khan stated, pushing back against industry characterizations. He also revealed that the film will continue his focus on children with intellectual disabilities, a theme he previously explored in "Taare Zameen Par."

In a heartwarming development, Khan announced that his 90-year-old mother, Zeenat Khan, will make her acting debut with a cameo appearance in the film. She reportedly participated in a wedding song sequence during a set visit.

Khan recently hosted a musical night for the "Sitaare Zameen Par" team, which unexpectedly featured actor Ranbir Kapoor, creating buzz about a potential crossover between their projects.

The actor also expressed regret about his previous film "Laapataa Ladies," which he produced with ex-wife Kiran Rao. Khan admitted he believes the film would have performed better at the box office if it hadn't been released on Netflix just eight weeks after its theatrical debut.

Khan has opted for a theater-only release strategy for "Sitaare Zameen Par," reportedly with support from industry veteran Amitabh Bachchan.
