Bindi Irwin Undergoes Emergency Surgery After Appendix Rupture
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin, is recovering after an emergency surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital. The wildlife conservationist was forced to miss the Steve Irwin Gala due to a ruptured appendix while she was in the United States.
During the procedure, doctors removed her appendix, addressed 14 endometriosis lesions, and repaired a hernia. This surgery follows Bindi's previous endometriosis diagnosis and treatment.
Following the medical emergency, Bindi updated her fans on her condition. "I'm so lucky," she shared, expressing gratitude while on her road to recovery.
Her brother, Robert Irwin, continued with the Steve Irwin Gala activities while Bindi received medical care. The health update comes after what appears to have been a serious and unexpected medical emergency requiring immediate surgical intervention.
