'Heartstopper' Star Bradley Riches Joins Emmerdale Cast, Relocates Wedding Plans

Actor Bradley Riches, known for his role in Netflix's "Heartstopper" and his appearance on "Celebrity Big Brother," has joined the cast of ITV's long-running soap opera "Emmerdale" as newcomer Lewis Barton, related to the character Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr).

The actor recently revealed that he and his fiancé Scott Johnston were forced to change their wedding venue from Italy to England after discovering that same-sex marriage is not legally recognized in Italy.

"We were going to get married in Italy but then we found out that we can't because same-sex marriage isn't legal there," Riches explained, adding that they have now rescheduled their ceremony for April next year in England.

In a gesture of warmth toward his new colleagues, Riches plans to invite his "Emmerdale" co-stars to the wedding celebration, alongside friends from his previous projects "Heartstopper" and "Celebrity Big Brother."

The actor has also spoken about his experience navigating online trolling as he transitions to his new role on the popular soap, demonstrating his commitment to his craft while managing the personal challenges that come with increased visibility in the entertainment industry.
