British pop star Charli XCX made a dramatic appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, embracing a gothic aesthetic that contrasted sharply with her previous year's white ensemble. The singer arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City wearing a custom Ann Demeulemeester outfit designed by creative director Stefano Gallici.

Her striking look featured a tailored black jacket, sheer skirt, and an elaborate feathered headpiece that complemented the evening's theme, "Tailored for You," which celebrated menswear in conjunction with the museum's new exhibition on Black style tailoring titled "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style."

Makeup artist Yasmin Istanbouli created what she described as a "goth brat" beauty look for the singer, drawing inspiration from both the outfit and the dandyism theme of the event. The makeup aimed to achieve a raw, gothic, romantic style while incorporating elements of Charli's signature aesthetic.
