U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian recently dismissed a prospective juror who expressed skepticism about the justice system as it applies to wealthy defendants. The potential juror stated that Diddy could "possibly buy his way out of jail," leading to their immediate removal from consideration. This incident highlights the challenges in selecting an impartial jury for the high-profile case.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have emphasized the importance of a gag order to prevent potential grounds for appeal. L.A. Deputy District Attorney Kirsten Brown-Neil explained that public comments from figures like attorney Mark Geragos could potentially undermine a conviction. "The order protects a potential conviction from being challenged based on claims of ineffective counsel or jury bias caused by public statements," she noted.

The judge has already demonstrated strict court management by reprimanding a lawyer for inappropriate comments about the prosecution team during the proceedings. Diddy has now spent approximately seven months in jail as his case moves through the federal court system.
