Emma and Matt Willis Advocate for Therapy Through New BBC Show After Personal Health Challenges
TV personalities Emma and Matt Willis have launched a new BBC One series titled "Change Your Mind, Change Your Life," drawing from their own experiences with therapy and health challenges. The couple, who have been together for 20 years, credit therapy with transforming their relationship.
Emma Willis recently underwent life-saving surgery for an undiagnosed hole in her heart, which has left her dealing with significant health anxiety during her recovery. Meanwhile, Matt Willis has worked with eight different therapists over the past two decades.
"Attending therapy sessions transformed our relationship," the couple revealed, explaining that therapy has improved their communication and helped prevent arguments. Their personal health journeys inspired the creation of their new BBC show, which explores the benefits of therapy and mental health support.
The series features mental health experts including Owen O'Kane, Julia Samuel MBE, Professor Steve Peters, and Dr. Fatoumata Jatta, as the Willis couple use their platform to advocate for the transformative and potentially life-saving benefits of therapy.
