In 'The Surgeon,' Yeoh will portray a retired surgeon who is abducted and forced to operate, utilizing her medical skills in unexpected ways. The film is being written and directed by Roshan Sethi, co-creator of the medical drama 'The Resident,' who brings his medical expertise to this action-oriented narrative.

The production is backed by Thunder Road, the company behind 'John Wick,' with additional support from production companies 193, Neotext, and Lit Entertainment. According to sources, there are hopes that 'The Surgeon' could launch a new action franchise built around Yeoh's character.
