Miley Cyrus Premieres "Something Beautiful" at Tribeca, Opens Up About Past Struggles

Miley Cyrus recently premiered her new visual album "Something Beautiful" at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The project features a distinctive '80s aesthetic and includes a notable collaboration with supermodel Naomi Campbell, for whom Cyrus wrote verses.

"She had no notes," Cyrus revealed about Campbell's contribution to the album, which showcases archival Thierry Mugler designs. The singer attended the premiere in a daring mesh gown, accompanied by her mother, Tish Cyrus, before dining with boyfriend Maxx Morando.

In a series of candid interviews surrounding the album release, Cyrus has opened up about her personal struggles. During an appearance on The Ringer's "Every Single Album" podcast, she confessed to hiding drug purchases from her accountant during the creation of her 2015 album "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz."

"I would tell my accountant that I was buying vintage clothes," Cyrus admitted, reflecting on that challenging period in her life. "I'm glad I survived that time."

The singer also made rare comments about her past relationship with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, revealing she had changed her image in an attempt to maintain a "happy home" during their marriage.

Cyrus appears to be entering a new creative phase with "Something Beautiful," a 12-track experimental album that marks her continued evolution as an artist.
