Comedian Milton Jones Reveals Prostate Cancer Diagnosis, Cancels Tour Dates
Renowned comedian and BBC Two regular Milton Jones has announced that he has been diagnosed with treatable prostate cancer and will be undergoing surgery in the near future. As a result of his diagnosis, Jones has been forced to cancel or reschedule several dates on his UK tour that was scheduled for summer 2024.
"I have been diagnosed with treatable prostate cancer and will be having surgery soon," Jones shared in his announcement, explaining the need to step back from his performance commitments to focus on his recovery.
The comedian, known for his distinctive one-liners and appearances on panel shows, joins other public figures like Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy who have recently gone public with their prostate cancer diagnoses, helping to raise awareness about the condition.
Fans holding tickets for the affected shows are advised to check with venues for information regarding rescheduled dates or refund options as Jones prioritizes his health during this challenging time.
