Shah Rukh Khan Makes MET Gala Debut and Returns to Roots with 'Deewana' Sequel

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently made his debut appearance at the prestigious MET Gala 2025, wearing a custom outfit designed by renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The actor has since returned to Mumbai, where he was spotted by paparazzi on May 8.

Khan's appearance at the global fashion event sparked various reactions, including a humorous comment from actor Raghav Juyal who admitted, "Many of us, including me, didn't know much about the Met Gala until Shah Rukh Khan's debut. We thought it was Halloween for the ultra-rich."

In a significant career development, filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa has confirmed that a sequel to "Deewana" is currently being scripted. The 1992 romantic drama, which co-starred Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti, marked Khan's Bollywood debut and was a commercial success. The sequel comes more than three decades after the original film.

Meanwhile, Khan's son Aryan Khan is preparing for his directorial debut with the Netflix series "The Ba***ds of Bollywood," scheduled to premiere in 2025. The project, produced under Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment banner, has generated buzz for featuring numerous celebrity cameos. Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has commented positively on the show's entertainment value.
