Tory Lanez Critically Injured After Being Stabbed 14 Times in Prison Attack

Rapper Tory Lanez was hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed 14 times by another inmate at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi on May 12. The attack occurred in a housing unit at the prison, resulting in Lanez suffering collapsed lungs.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, was transported to an outside medical facility following the incident. According to reports, the rapper is now in stable condition and recovering.

In an update shared on social media, Lanez's family stated he is "pulling through" and "thankful to God" despite the severity of his injuries. His representatives have confirmed the extent of the attack, which left him in critical condition initially.

Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence at the California Correctional Institution for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. The prison stabbing incident remains under investigation by authorities.
